Faith, Freedom, and Firearms: Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Vision for America

Marjorie Taylor Greene, a U.S. Representative from Georgia, openly identifies as a Christian nationalist and advocates for embedding Christian nationalism into the Republican Party’s platform. She believes the United States was founded on Christian principles and should officially be declared a Christian nation. Greene’s views challenge the separation of church and state and have sparked significant controversy, with critics warning of potential marginalization of non-Christian citizens and the erosion of constitutional protections.

Regarding schools, Greene argues that Christian values and biblical teachings should play a central role in education. She has expressed opposition to secular and progressive influences in schools, advocating for policies that promote Christian ideologies and conservative cultural values in curricula. Greene views this as a way to align education with what she perceives as the nation’s foundational principles.

She has also linked the removal of Christian values and prayer from schools to societal moral decline and increasing violence, including school shootings. Greene argues that reinstating Christian teachings and religious practices in schools could help address these issues by fostering stronger moral foundations among students.

Additionally, she opposes gun control measures as a solution to school shootings, instead advocating for increased school security and arming staff members as deterrents. Her stance reflects her broader emphasis on personal responsibility, traditional values, and resistance to secular influences in public institutions.

She also suggested to execute prominant democrates in 2018 and 2019 before running for congress including Nancy Pelosi (Source: here). Later on, she insinuated the same ‘solution’ for Hilary Clinton and Barack Obama.

She is an important figure in the Make America Christian Again (MACA) movement with influential people like reverend Doug Wilson, the new VA Secretary, the new secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and a strong supporter of Donald Trump (see the example of AI-generated political deepfakes above this post by one of the American AI Outlaws in one of the online underground networks).
